BT NTE5 Master socket, manufactured by Pressac UK who supply BT.

This is the type of socket that BT currently supply-it is a 3 piece design:- back box, rear plate & front face plate. For ADSL installations the lower half of the front faceplate can be replaced with a filtered faceplate.

PABX master version is usually for use with PBX's-essentially the same as a BT master box but without the surge arrestor.  Can be used for extension wiring on a standard BT telephone line when there is only one pair available. A tool to install the cabling to the IDC block can be found HERE.
