As the external NTE is fitted to more & more homes the issue of centralised ADSL filtering is becoming more of an issue. You will be pleased to learn you can fit a standard NTE5A to the external NTE and then fit a centralised ADSL faceplate such as the NTE2000 or NTE2005 to the new NTE5A to achieve centralised filtering. All extensions wire off the new NTE5A as they would on the more common NTE5 only installation. The NTE5A should replace the first socket that is currently connected to the external NTE.
