BT to RJ45.COM t/a run-IT-direct supply computer networking & telecom products. We are VAT registered & have been trading since January 2002. As well as installation services we supply goods to buy online via our website.
Our standard delivery service is Royal Mail 1st Class Recorded. You must sign for your order upon delivery, this confirms you have received the order. The cost of delivery is calculated depending on cart contents & is clearly shown on all cart pages & payment pages. Orders placed (completed & paid for) by 4.30pm Monday-Friday will ship the same day subject to stock, customers can expect items the following business day in most cases or within 1-3 business days as stated by Royal Mail. Shipping prices & timescales are for the UK only.
We make every effort to deliver the goods as soon as possible after your order has been accepted. However, run-IT-direct will not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by you through reasonable or unavoidable delay in delivery.
We have delivery upgrades with guaranteed delivery timescales, please see the delivery page for full details. Our site shows live stock status, if an item is marked as out of stock a date will be displayed showing when we expect more stock, this is subject to change & is intended as a guide only.
Where a "next day" option is stated this refers to next working day-Monday-Friday excluding bank holidays.
If a "next day" option is not delivered within the guaranteed timescale we will not be responsible for any consequential loss you may incur. We will refund the additional price of the upgrade in FULL, the standard* delivery costs will remain payable.
*The price of delievery had the next day option not been selected.
Lost Mail Claims Procedure
We send ALL orders via a service that requires a signature so lost items are VERY rare. If your order has not arrived after 7 working days from the order INVOICE DATE please contact us via EMAIL quoting your order number. Once the claim is logged with us we have to wait 15 working days from the INVOICE DATE. If your item(s) arrive in this period please contact us so the claim can be discarded. Once the period required by Royal Mail has elapsed we will contact you again to confirm the order has still not been received. We will then proceed to make the claim with Royal Mail on your behalf. Royal Mail will investigate the claim & refund you DIRECTLY in full should the claim be validated.
If you require replacements these will need to be re-ordered via our website, we are unable to duplicate your original order.
All claims are dealt with directly by Royal Mail's claims office as Royal Mail is the insurer. Royal Mail estimate claims are generally settled within 2-4 weeks pending the outcome of their investigations for Inland United Kingdom Customers. A full refund will only be issued following Royal Mail's completed investigation.
Please note that Royal Mail have stated that a false claim for compensation could result in a criminal prosecution.
Goods ordered in error can only be returned within 14 days of the date on the original purchase invoice (emailed to you on day of dispatch). All goods returned must be returned complete with all original packaging and documentation in an "as new" saleable condition (any factory sealed packaging must be unopened). Goods returned not adhering to these conditions will not be accepted. Postage/packaging fees as stated on the sales invoice are non refundable (if your order was placed using a free delivery discount offer this will become chargable should you decide to return your order & will be deducted from the refund value. ie, the offer is for you to keep the goods not look at them at our expense!). Special order cables (custom leads etc) and cut to length (customer specified) cable is non-returnable. To return goods ordered in error please email us.
What do you mean by "As New"?
You are liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling, if in particular it goes beyond the sort of handling that might reasonably be allowed in a shop.
What type of 'handling' will affect the refund value?
All goods returned remain your responsibility during transit and until signed for by ourselves or an appointed agent. We would recommend Royal Mail Signed For service and that you obtain a free certificate of posting (P6159) when sending from your local Post Office. Products physically damaged (cracked components, dents, scratches, defacement, wear and tear or wilful damage) will not be accepted.
Any items returned in the condition as specified above will be credited (minus any fees as stated above) within 2 business days of receiving the item(s), this will be directly to the customers original payment method*. Should an item be returned not adhering to these guidelines they will be made available for the customer to arrange collection or upon payment for postage we will return them to the customer.
*Refunds back to card payments will normally show in your bank in 1-3 working days. Refunds to a Pay Pal account will show directly in your Pay Pal account. Refunds to a Google Pay or Apple Pay account will show in your bank for the card linked to your Google Pay or Apple Pay account.
It is our aim to process orders as fast as possible, this means your order is often packed ready for dispatch within 1 hour of placing the order. PLEASE make sure your order is correct before continuing to payment. Even if you email/call us immediately after payment we will charge you whatever it has cost us to process your order up to that point! (Payment providers no longer refund the processing fee!)
All goods purchased online (Over the "Internet") carry a 12 month guarantee from run-IT-direct. In the event of a failure please contact us via email stating the full nature of the fault.
We will email back by return a returns authorisation number, this will be valid for a period of 7 working days from the date of issue. Returns without an authorisation number or an expired authorisation number will NOT be accepted. It is the customers responsibility to ensure the goods are packaged correctly and to foot any costs with regard to returning the goods to us. We recommend you obtain proof of posting when returning any goods & if possible use a service that offers tracking or proof of delivery.
No Fault Found
If no fault is found with the product the goods will be returned to the customer subject to a handling fee to cover our return postage costs, this will NOT exceed £10.
DOA (Dead On Arrival)
Any items that arrive faulty will be replaced, where we ask for the item to be returned to us we will refund the return postage up to a MAXIMUM of the Royal Mail Second Class service cost upon request . Replacement item(s) will be dispatched if the originals are found to be faulty. If the customer requests a refund rather than replacement(s) this will be processed once the goods have been returned & inspetced by us. If DOA returns have no fault found the "no fault found" clause above will apply & the goods will not qualify for a refund. To be classed as Dead on arrival (DOA), we must be notified that the product is faulty within the first 48 hours after delivery.
Goods Damaged In Transit
Goods are rarely damged in transit as we take great care in the packing of your order. Any items damaged in transit must be reported within 24 hours of receipt of your order (from confirmed signature date & time on Royal Mail/courier website) otherwise your claim will be rejected. We may ask for photographic evidence of the damage.

Every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of our products technical specification. run-IT-direct reserve the right to change any specifications without notice. All pictures are for illustration purposes only, actual designs & colours may vary. Please contact us prior to ordering if you have any questions.
All goods & services supplied remain the property of run-IT-direct until all monies due to run-IT-direct are received in full.
Any promotion offered may be withdrawn at any point without prior notice. If free delivery is offered this refers to our standard delivery charges, premium (next day & timed) services will still be charged at the normal rate. Should you wish to return an order where a free delivery promotion has been applied the normal standard rate of postage will be deducted from the credit value. ie, the promotion will be null & void. Promotions are offered in goodwill & should an issue arise you will be notified prior to us dispatching any goods.
VAT is applicable to all sales & purchases at the current UK rate of 20%. All sales are provided with a VAT invoice.
